THE LANGUAGE OF SILENCE

At the midnight i was born

When the world was in a deadly sleep

I cried to prove that i wasnt born a dumb

But my mama screamed shhhh!

I grew in a silence

And since then she is the only one

The only one who understand

My language of silence.

I was born to act

Far more than speaking

A little i say is a fact

Neither gossip nor lying

So when i barely talk

I mean it, please listen.

It doesn't look like a choice but,

I choose silence

Because of my over thinking

Which made me a poet

To talk to a paper through a pen

My emotions are written

Please read them

My feelings are swimming in ink

Please feel them.

If you cannot read

My eyes alone

Will have so much to tell you

If i choose to talk

The oppresors will hear no words

but gunshots

People's happiness will be multiplied

And made them forget their illness

Let my actions speak on my behalf

I will speak only where necessary

But all in all

I choose silence.
